Slice and Sort – Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-14

What we collect

Slice and Sort does not require an account. If you are signed in to Google Play Games on your device, the game uses your Play Games profile name as your leaderboard name; otherwise it uses a generated name such as "Baker1234". When you finish a daily challenge, the game sends the following to our leaderboard server:

When you win a level, the game also sends the same random identifier, the highest level you have won and the app version, so we know when players are running out of levels.

Your IP address is processed briefly to prevent abuse (rate limiting) and is not stored with your scores.

If you are signed in to Google Play Games, the game also sends your achievements, your highest level won and your best classic score (for the Play Games leaderboards), and game statistics such as cakes served, games and levels played, boosters used, coins earned and rewarded videos watched to Google Play Games. Google handles that data under its own privacy policy; you can manage it in the Play Games app.

The game also downloads a small settings file from the same server (game tuning and feature switches). No personal data is sent with that request.

Anonymous usage data

To balance the puzzles and fix problems, the game can share anonymous usage data: when games start and end, scores, cakes completed, plates placed, boosters used, tutorial progress, rewarded videos watched and purchases made, together with the app version and basic device information (model, operating system, language). This data is collected with Unity Analytics (Unity Technologies) and is tied to a random identifier, not to your name, email or Google account.

Sharing is on by default. You can turn it off at any time in Settings ▸ Share anonymous usage data; the game then stops sending usage data. To have data that was already collected deleted, contact us at the address below.

Optional video ads

The game never shows ads you didn't ask for. You can choose to watch a short video to keep playing after the table fills up, or to get an extra booster. These videos are served by Unity LevelPlay and its advertising partners, which may process device identifiers (including your device's advertising ID), your IP address and how you interact with the ad, to show, measure and limit ads and to prevent fraud. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. See Unity's privacy policy for details.

Purchases

In-app purchases (booster packs, and the free pre-registration gift) are handled by Google Play. We never see your payment details; we only receive a confirmation of what you bought so the game can unlock it. Purchases are stored on your device and can be restored from Settings.

What stays on your device

Settings, best scores, daily history, games in progress, purchases and simple play counters are stored only on your device. Daily reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your device; no data is sent for them.

How we use it

Leaderboard data is used only to show daily rankings to players. Usage data is used only to improve the game. We do not sell your data, and we do not use leaderboard or usage data for advertising.

Retention and deleting your data

Daily leaderboard entries may be deleted after 90 days. To have your Slice and Sort data deleted sooner:

  1. Email privacy@aeterna-apps.com with the subject "Delete my Slice and Sort data".
  2. Include your leaderboard name and roughly the dates you played the daily challenge.
  3. We delete your leaderboard entries and ask Unity to delete the usage data tied to your device within 30 days, and confirm by email.

Data stored only on your device (settings, progress, purchases) is removed by uninstalling the game or clearing its storage. Purchase records kept by Google Play are managed in your Google account.

Children

The game is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Leaderboard names are filtered for offensive words.
